In the above video, NUITEQ's Learning Experience Designer, Lynn Marentette, provides an overview of the Geography app in Snowflake MultiTeach.
In this app, there are two options: Countries of the World, and Cities in Countries. In Countries of the World, students move flags to corresponding countries. In Cities in Countries, students match names of cities to the correct tags on a map. Students can choose from 30 countries. As in most MultiTeach apps and lesson types, feedback and opportunities for self-correction are provided.
So students learn both where cities are countries are located on the map as well as what the flag of each country looks like.
Geography can be played by more than one student as a stand-alone app. It also works well on a display using the Zones feature, with related lessons from the MultiTeach Lessons Community. This makes it well-suited for use with students working at the display as a learning station, in tabletop mode.
