The success of our company relies on the strengths of our employees. At NUITEQ, we take pride in combining our Swedish heritage with the influences of Asian, Latin American and North American cultures to create a unique office environment.
We want to showcase our amazing team members, and this week, we'd like to introduce you to our Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Tobias Klaus.
Q: Hi Tobias, please tell us a bit about yourself.
A: My name is Tobias Klaus, I'm from Germany and have lived in Sweden for over a year now. I started at NUITEQ as an Intern, but since May 2019, I have been working here as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
Q: What can you tell us about your role in the company? What do you like most about your job?
A: My role at NUITEQ is mainly to test current products and to identify deficiencies. I also do a lot of customer support, which goes hand in hand with my Quality Assurance role as it helps a lot to identify issues that are only visible from the customer perspective. Besides that, I integrate new webpages, which usually get requested by the Marketing Department and I recently started to work on small coding tasks for our web products too.
The best part for me is that I can gain a lot of valuable experience by working together with a lot of talented people.
I get to work closely with the Development team, who gives me great insight into how the development of our products gets done and improved.
Q: What motivates you to succeed in your role?
A: It motivates me a lot to see how much NUITEQ is growing. I have been in contact with our CEO, Harry, for five years already and followed the company closely since then. It is impressive to see what changed since I first used Snowflake for a school project, compared to today and it is really nice to know that I can contribute to shaping it today.
Q: How do you occupy your free time, what are your passions, etc.?
Q: Where would you like to travel to in 2020?
A: I haven't traveled so much, but there are a lot of places I want to visit in the future. At the top of the list are Japan (Kyoto), New Zealand and Iceland.
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: I don't like any food in particular, but I learned to appreciate the awesome food my parents cook, since I now need to prepare food for myself.
