Meet NUITEQ's Team: Wagner Barongello

The success of our company relies on the strengths of our employees. At NUITEQ, we take pride in combining our Swedish heritage with the influences of Asian, Latin American and North American cultures to create a unique office environment.

We want to showcase our amazing team members, and this week, we'd like to introduce you to one of our Software Engineers, Wagner Barongello.

Q: Hi Wagner, please tell our readers a bit about yourself.

A: I consider myself to be a “geek”. I am always trying to see the fun side of things, sometimes to amuse myself, other times to make people laugh.
I am self-confident, but I can be afraid of not being missed. I like math, astronomy, computers, video games, logic, science in general. It’s not unusual to see me watching microorganisms through microscopes on YouTube, or people mixing chemicals together to achieve something (almost) useless, just out of curiosity.

Q: What can you tell us about your role in the company? What do you like most about your job?

A: I am the mason of computer science: a coder. Often the "last man", the one that things do not get past, where things come to be solved. Partly because I am in the furthest time zone, partly because I like it and people are confident about my skills and trust me enough to solve them.

The best part are the challenges, the autonomy, the 'no pressure', the liberty, the flexibility and, when it comes to personal life, the possibility to take care of my pets and family.

Q: What motivates you to succeed in your role?

A: The challenges. I rather pick tasks that seem hard or almost impossible to achieve over tasks that can be solved in a few minutes.

Q: How do you occupy your free time and what are you passionate about?

A: I like to play games, reverse engineering, watching educational videos, almost always challenging myself and, of course, spending time with my dogs and family.

Q: Where would you like to travel to in 2020?

A: I don't travel very often, but I like beaches and open fields; we don't have many mountains, snow or things like that here in Brazil.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: I love rice, potatoes (mashed, fried, boiled, in almost any form, I think), Brazilian barbecue, salads and fruits. Often in the same dish.
