Inspire Students this International Children’s Book Day

First celebrated in 1967, International Children’s Book Day is observed annually on April 2nd. The aim is to promote children’s reading and to inspire students to use their imagination and explore their creativity.

International Children's Book Day coincides with Hans Christian Andersen's birthday and is a way for teachers to encourage students to develop a love of reading and teach them about the works of influential authors, past and present.

In addition to improving their reading comprehension, International Children’s Book Day is also an opportunity for students to improve their vocabulary, practice their memory skills and allows them to learn new terminology.

Whether to facilitate discussing literacy or to offer personalized feedback about a specific book with your students, celebrating the occasion through digital learning is both fun and educational.
