Honor Education Day with UN-Themed Lesson Activities

Teachers worldwide will honor International Day of Education on January 24th, 2020, a day recognized by the United Nations General Assembly which celebrates education and highlights its role in sustainable development and human well-being.

This year’s celebration aims to promote education as humanity’s greatest resource and moves to recognize it as a fundamental right for all.

Teachers in our Global Content Department created these interactive NUITEQ Snowflake Lesson Activities in alignment with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals that you can use in your existing curriculum:

The 2020 theme ‘learning for people, planet, prosperity and peace’, highlights the role education plays in world peace and development. Prepare for NUITEQ's lesson activities about this topic by researching the history and goals of the United Nations and UNESCO. Find out how Education Day came to be by visiting the UN and UNESCO websites for more information.
