Me, at Gitex

I'm Dennis Mohi, NUITEQ's Global Business Development Manager. At NUITEQ I'm responsible for maintaining our key accounts, such as large OEM's as well as Fortune 100 companies. Additionally I look after expanding our business globally, tapping into new opportunities helping our partners grow.

In this blogpost, I want to share some of my experiences with you, having visited Gitex 2012 in Dubai, UAE.

This was NUITEQ's third time visiting the show and my personal second.

What is Gitex?
Gitex is the largest technology show in the Middle East region with over 3500 companies from 57 countries exhibiting over 5 days. As the rest of the more mature markets around the world slow down or reach levels of maturity the middle east region offers big opportunities for companies in a rapidly expanding industry. The Gitex show is widely regarded as the one of the worlds top 3 ICT events.

The exhibitor’s come from a very wide range of industries within the technology field. Cisco, Dell, Facebook, Google and Oracle are some of the big guys here as well as an ever expanding AV, Infocomm section with Sharp, LG and Mitsubishi being stand out exhibitors’.

Meeting partners and customers
For us Gitex was a great show to meet many of our relations from all around the world, companies such as ELO, Sahara Presentation Systems, Techrobotix, Lumio and others.

Techrobotix
NUITEQ's UAE Partner Techrobotix had a crowded booth, where multitouch technology and Snowflake attracting the crowds, showcasing both Snowflake Suite, as well as a custom developed wayfinding solution, based on the Snowflake platform.

Their solutions include kiosks, tables as well as presentation walls.

Conclusion
All in all it was a great show. The business relationships made within the setting of the modern city of Dubai really enhance the experience for all visitors to Gitex. I was really impressed with the organization and layout of the exhibition halls. Compared to the previous year there has been a marked growth in exhibitors and visitors alike. It really is the show to attend for the Middle East region for our industry and I am looking forward to next years event already.
