Perceptive Pixel Wins the 2009 National Design Award from the Smithsonian Institution's Cooper-Hewitt Museum

The three main criteria for the jury are excellence, innovation, and enhancement of the quality of life. I think everybody agrees that Jeff Han and PP are the fair winner of this award, within the category of "Interaction Design".

I enjoy the works that Jeff Han has done, how he inspires people and stimulates an entire industry.

What I like about his works is the fact that it was not this "one time WOW thing" at TED, but also other projects that he was involved in (previous to his multi-touch works), that he demonstrated at IDC, that were really fun and interesting. And though I thought that ok, we now saw the wow thing of multi-touch, he still continuous to surprise with smart and clever interaction design methods that make people smile and say, "hey I didn't think of that", that actually impressed me more then the works that Microsoft demonstrated.
